Today I visited Phillip Island with my aunt, which is about 1,5 h southeast of Melbourne. Its a nice island, its main attraction are small penguins, which came back home at night and sleep here. You have to buy tickets for this parade and have to bring warm clothes, because it could be late, when they are appearing. The rocks in the background are called "the Nobbies", a sanctuary for seagulls, penguins and seals (Seehunde). The wind was quite strong there, I had to hold my cap, otherwise it would have flown away.

The landscape is beautiful, here is the side which is facing the land.

And here the sea-facing side, quite rough but also beautiful.

This beach is located at the biggest city in Phillip Island. When you look closer (enlarge it with clicking on it), you´ll see many people wearing t-shirts, this is due to the intensive sun-ray which australia has. You really have to protect your skin here, it will get sunburned very fast.
